US Seizes Fuel from Iranian Tankers Bound for Venezuela
The US authorities have seized a cargo from Iranian tankers that were headed for Venezuela for the first time. This was reported by the Wall Street Journal.
The tankers in question are Luna, Pandi, Bering, and Bella, which were transporting fuel from Iran to Venezuela. According to the publication, the ships are currently being directed to Houston, Texas.
It is noted that Washington did not resort to military force for the seizure of the tankers. No further details have been disclosed.
According to the US Attorney's Office, the four tankers were transporting 1.1 million barrels of gasoline to Venezuela.
