Palestine Withdraws Its Ambassador from the UAE

Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki has announced the withdrawal of its ambassador from the United Arab Emirates due to the normalization of relations between Israel and the UAE. This was mentioned in a statement released by the country's Foreign Ministry, as reported by RIA Novosti.

“By order of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Palestine is immediately recalling its ambassador from the UAE due to the tripartite announcement regarding the normalization of relations between the U.S., Israel, and the UAE,” said Riyad al-Maliki in a statement published on the department's Facebook page.

Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed expressed hopes in a joint statement that the “historic and breakthrough peace agreement will contribute to the establishment of peace in the Middle East.” They added that Israel, as a result, will suspend its plans to annex large areas of the West Bank. Until now, Israel had not established diplomatic relations with any of the Arab Gulf states.

The Palestinian leadership announced on Thursday that it decisively does not recognize and condemns the tripartite agreement between Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States.
