Belarusian Ambassador Summoned to Czech Foreign Ministry for Clarifications on Lukashenko's Statements

The Belarusian ambassador in the Czech Republic has been summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide explanations regarding statements made by Alexander Lukashenko, claiming that the post-election protests in Minsk were orchestrated from the Czech Republic. Czech Foreign Minister Tomáš Petříček announced this.

“We want to clarify why he made such a statement. We are waiting for evidence to be presented. We have firmly expressed our dissatisfaction with this statement,” the Czech official stated, as reported by TASS.

Lukashenko claimed that the protests that began in Minsk after the presidential elections were directed from the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, and Poland.

The Czech Foreign Minister also conveyed his position to the Belarusian ambassador, stating that what is happening in Belarus is unacceptable, as, according to the Czech official, the protests are being suppressed, demonstrators are being treated brutally, and there have been pressures during the election campaign.
