Aliyev Expresses Discontent to Putin: "Russia has Supplied Armenia with 400 Tons of Military Cargo"
The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, expressed his dissatisfaction to Russian President Vladimir Putin during a phone conversation held last night regarding the recent delivery of a new batch of military cargo to Armenia by Russia.
According to the press service of the Azerbaijani president, during the phone call with Putin, Ilham Aliyev asserted that since July 17, "Moscow has supplied Armenia with about 400 tons of military cargo."
"The deliveries have been carried out through the territories of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and the Islamic Republic of Iran," Aliyev stated, adding that the supply of military cargo to Armenia "raises serious concerns and questions among the Azerbaijani public."
It is noteworthy that the Kremlin's press service also issued a statement regarding the phone conversation between Putin and Aliyev; however, discussions concerning arms supplies were not mentioned.
