Valeri Osipyan's Response to Vova Gasparyan

“The police chief who came after me and those who came after him were also complexed individuals; now they are not here, so I allow myself to say that. They have gone, and that's why I can say this. If a person is appointed while asking whether they will follow in Gasparyan's footsteps, that is sad. Such people are pitiful,” said former police chief Vladimir Gasparyan in an interview with PARA tv yesterday.

In an interview with Irakanum.am, former police chief Valeri Osipyan noted that he has not been complexed or restrained since the very first day of his appointment as police chief. “As a former head of the police, I certainly would not want to enter this discourse, but I should mention that Vladimir Gasparyan's statements do not correspond to reality; there is not a single officer who would confirm his words that I supposedly acted in such a manner. I do not consider it appropriate, being a general, to respond to another general, especially since the response could be quite disproportionate. During my tenure, I acted exclusively within the framework of the law and the powers granted to me as police chief. I am confident that time and circumstances have already shown and will continue to show that various officials have been complexed at different times,” Valeri Osipyan said.
