Lydian Armenia to Begin Job Restoration Process in Amulsar

Lydian Armenia has issued a statement announcing, "Due to the illegal blockade of the Amulsar roads over the past two years, Lydian and its contracting companies were forced to reduce more than 1,400 jobs, including those from adjacent communities to Amulsar. This unfortunate process has contributed to an increase in emigration from the communities, leaving local residents facing a dire socio-economic situation. According to our data, about 500 people have emigrated from these communities in the last two years.

Throughout this period, Lydian has received numerous applications for support and job reopening from community residents. Regardless of the situation, Lydian has always been alongside the local population and reaffirms its commitment once again. Lydian plans to initiate the job restoration process within the legal framework. As a first step, the company announces a reassessment of the workforce in the surrounding communities of Amulsar, taking into account the emigration and brain drain of recent years," the statement says.
