Illegal Activities Discovered in Charcoal Production Facility

On August 10, around 8:30 PM, in the framework of the fight against illegal logging, officers from the Tavush Division of the Police conducted inspections at a charcoal production facility located in the administrative territory of Berd community. According to the Armenian Police, the inspection revealed 264 bags of charcoal and 2 containers filled with wood materials. The director of the facility did not provide any documentation regarding the procurement of firewood. A professional inspection has been initiated. Materials are being prepared regarding the incident.
