VIDEO: Clashes in Beirut as Protesters Attempt to Set Parliament Building on Fire

Clashes have erupted once again between protesters and security forces in downtown Beirut. Some activists attempted to set the parliament building on fire. According to Global News, participants in the anti-government action blocked traffic in the city center and seized the Ministry of Transport building.

In response, security forces used tear gas and fired rubber bullets. Protesters retaliated by throwing stones at law enforcement officers. The city center has been shrouded in smoke from the fires.
