Study Reveals that Citizens' Peace is Mainly Disrupted. Avinyan Gives Instructions
WRed
Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of the Police Tigran Avinyan wrote on his Facebook page: "Based on your numerous complaints, and the analysis of publications in the internet and media, it becomes clear that citizens' peace is mainly disrupted by:
- Fireworks and use of pyrotechnics during nighttime hours,
- Illegally modified vehicles equipped with special sound signals without appropriate permits,
- Issuing sound signals for purposes not envisaged by road traffic rules,
- Using sound systems that do not meet standards.
Every citizen of the Republic of Armenia and anyone living in Armenia has the right to conducive and safe working and living conditions for health and relaxation. The aforementioned actions violate people's rights and endanger the health of ourselves and our children.
Considering that we primarily have legislative regulations in the above areas, today the relevant authorities have been instructed to:
- Strengthen control during nighttime hours over violations of silence, the implementation of fireworks, and the sale of pyrotechnic products,
- Take measures to hold accountable those who maliciously violate road traffic rules during nighttime hours and disrupt citizens' peace,
- Detect illegally modified vehicles and cease their operation,
- Conduct extensive information campaigns among the population regarding the prohibitions in the field of organizing fireworks and selling pyrotechnic products, as well as the rules for using vehicle signaling systems.
