Rapid Response Teams of the Ombudsman Have Been Deployed to Meet with Detained Environmentalists

The protest against the exploitation of the Amulsar mine is being monitored on a permanent basis by the Office of the Human Rights Defender, according to reports from the Armenian Human Rights Defender.

Following multiple alerts received through the hotline regarding the detention of citizens taking part in the protests, rapid response teams have been dispatched by the Human Rights Defender's office to the police departments in Malatya, Arabkir, and other locations where individuals have been detained.

Representatives of the Defender will conduct private conversations with the detained individuals to learn about the status of their rights and the reasons for their detention.

It is noteworthy that those protesting in support of Amulsar in front of the National Assembly were detained.
