New Details on Edmon Marukyan's Driver Involved Incident: Participants Met Today
Yesterday, information was circulated regarding a heated argument between the driver of Edmon Marukyan, the leader of the parliamentary faction 'Enlightened Armenia,' and a civilian in the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district. According to circulating reports, Marukyan’s driver requested to merge lanes from the opposing driver, who did not comply, leading to the argument.
The 'Enlightened Armenia' faction clarified the situation yesterday, releasing photographs related to Marukyan's driver, and stated that an incident occurred during traffic, after which the driver of the other vehicle parked to settle the scores with Hamlet Zaroyan. The driver emerged with a construction tool (a drill) in hand and inflicted injuries on Hamlet Zaroyan.
The photos released by the party showed the injuries on Zaroyan's body caused by the drill. According to the opposition party’s statement, Zaroyan acted in self-defense, halted the attack, attempted to seize the drill, and after the incident, around 12:00 PM, personally went to the Malatia-Sebastia police station to report the crime, receiving a forensic examination referral before returning to his daily work.
Armlur.am learned that this morning both drivers attended the forensic examination. According to the website’s information, the drivers encountered each other there. The forensic doctor recorded the injuries present on both drivers, and they departed afterward. However, it is still too early to determine what exactly the forensic doctor will uncover.
