7 Hotels in Goris Suspended Operations Following AATC Inspections
The State Health and Labor Inspection Body conducted simultaneous inspections across several communities today, focusing on compliance with safety regulations, particularly in resorts and hotels. Extensive inspections took place in hotels along the shores of Lake Sevan, as well as in Gyumri, Vanadzor, Sisian, Goris, Kapan, Echmiadzin, and Yerevan. This information was provided by the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
Inspectors from the AATC recorded troubling conditions in several hotels, noting that violations still exist. Disinfection was not properly conducted, there were shortcomings in the maintenance of registration logs, social distancing was not observed, there were numerous instances of not wearing masks, and information sheets were also absent. Reports of violations recorded in some hotels and resorts will be submitted by the AATC to the authorities with a request for suspension.
As a result, the operations of 7 hotels in Goris have been suspended based on previously recorded violations. Additionally, a 48-hour suspension was enacted against one business operator in Echmiadzin.
Recently, the focus has also remained on garment production facilities, some of which in Gyumri have been re-evaluated. Strengthened inspections by the Yerevan Territorial Center today targeted major production facilities for confectionery and canned goods, office areas at the Yerevan Metro, a branch of a bank, and more. The basis for ongoing inspections also includes complaints and alerts received from citizens.
Continuous monitoring efforts are being carried out across the country in factories, shops, pharmacies, beauty salons, and medical organizations. During extensive awareness campaigns, experts from the inspection body also present detailed information on the rules and norms for preventing the spread of coronavirus.
In order to ensure compliance with the requirements set forth by the authorities, strict inspections continue in all regions of the Republic and in the administrative districts of Yerevan.
