As soon as the situation in Lebanon sharply escalated, Turkish high-ranking officials were already there, and considering their initial aggressive statements, the Turks rushed to Lebanon with a globally dangerous agenda for the Lebanese Armenians (details will be discussed later). This is how Turkish Vice President Fuad Oktay and Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu meet with Beirut residents who adhere to Ottoman ideas.

Moreover, it should be noted that Turkey has been working for years to expand its influence in Lebanon, and today we have a situation where Turkey is emerging as a serious player among the key players in the field. We must not forget that if Turkey succeeds in escalating the anger of the Lebanese towards the strengthening of the Turkish factor, then the fate of our Lebanese-Armenian compatriots will be at risk.

I have great hopes that our authorities have at least calculated how to counter this factor. And if not, we must seriously consider how we can be of help to the Armenian community in Lebanon in reducing the Turkish influence.
