Lebanon's Environment Minister Resigns
Lebanon's Environment Minister Damianos Kattar has resigned, as reported by the Lebanese television channel Al-Jadeed. According to the channel, Prime Minister Hassan Diab is trying to persuade Kattar to remain in his position.
Previously, Lebanon's Information Minister Manal Abdel Samad also resigned, linking her decision to the explosion that occurred at the Beirut port on August 4.
