28 Residents of Shirak Province Receiving Treatment for Covid-19 at Gyumri Infectious Diseases Hospital
As of August 9, 28 residents of Shirak Province are being treated for coronavirus at the Gyumri Infectious Diseases Hospital, as reported by the Shirak Provincial Administration on Facebook.
Since March 1, a total of 8,238 samples have been taken in healthcare facilities across Shirak Province and the regional center of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention. From May 12 to August 8, 6,884 tests were conducted in Gyumri, with 5 new cases confirmed on August 8.
Currently, 495 citizens are under self-isolation at home in the province, 102 of whom have a positive diagnosis with asymptomatic disease. Monitoring is being carried out by the primary healthcare sector.
To date, 494 residents of Shirak Province have recovered from coronavirus and have been discharged from the Gyumri Infectious Diseases Hospital. A total of 53 patients have been transferred to the capital city, and there have been 36 recorded deaths.
