Former Employee of Beirut Port Warehouse Makes Remarkable Revelations: Ammonium Nitrate Stored Next to Bags Filled with Explosives

A former employee of the Beirut port warehouse, Yusuf Shehadi, has revealed significant details regarding the catastrophic explosion that occurred in the Lebanese capital. He disclosed that 2,750 tons of ammonium nitrate were stored alongside bags filled with fireworks explosives, presenting a grave safety hazard.

In an interview with the esteemed newspaper The Guardian, Shehadi explained that he had been instructed to place the chemical materials in Warehouse Number 12. This same warehouse contained fireworks that had been confiscated by customs officials.

Furthermore, he recounted that just half an hour before the horrific explosion, warehouse workers attempted to repair the door of Warehouse Number 12 using electric tools. Shehadi believes that this maintenance work may have been the cause of the tragedy.
