Armenia Plans to Become a Homeland for Arabs and Assyrians, Says Zareh Sinanyan
We need to create a reality in Armenia where we think not only about the repatriation of Armenians in the distant future. This was stated by Zareh Sinanyan, the Chief Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, during an online discussion about the situation in Beirut following the explosion on August 4.
“We should consider making Armenia a homeland for nations like ours. We are talking about Arabs from Spain, Assyrians, and other nations that do not pose a threat to national security and can easily integrate into Armenia. This way, we can change the demographic situation in Armenia, and there is no shame in that; it is the right move. It would be a success. Imagine that we make Armenia a country attractive not only to Armenians,” Sinanyan noted.
