On August 6, at 06:26, the National Crisis Management Center received a report that a vehicle had veered off the traffic lane (about 100 meters) on the road leading to the village of Lusaghbyur and ended up in a field. A firefighting rescue team from the Emergency Situations Ministry's Lori Regional Rescue Department was dispatched to the scene.

It was found that near the village of Lusaghbyur on the Gyumri-Spitak highway, a BMW vehicle veered off the road (around 100 meters) and overturned in a field. As a result of the accident, Spartak A. (born in 1997) died on the spot, while Albert S. (born in 1998), Artush N. (born in 1991), and Manuk M. (born in 1989) sustained varying degrees of bodily injuries and were extricated from the vehicle by local residents before rescuers arrived. They were then transported to the Vanadzor Medical Center. Doctors assessed Manuk M.'s health condition as critical, while the other two were considered to be in serious but stable condition.

Rescuers deactivated the vehicle and closed the gas cylinder valve. According to Shamshyan.com, the driver of the BMW 320 with license plate 49 AN 449 veered off the traffic lane while on the Gyumri-Spitak highway in the administrative area of Hartagush village and overturned multiple times in a field, about 110 meters from the road under unknown circumstances.

Photographer Gagik Shamshyan, reporting from the scene, stated that five individuals with varying degrees of injuries were taken to the Vanadzor medical center, one of whom had died, while two others were in critical condition and two in serious but stable condition.

According to G. Shamshyan’s information, the deceased and three of the injured were contractual servicemen in the N military unit of the RA Ministry of Defense, and the mentioned vehicle was used as a taxi. This information is being verified by the Spitak police, as a taxi sign has been found in the vehicle, which is registered in the name of Artush Nersisyan, a resident of Lusaghbyur village in the Shirak province.
