American-Armenian television star Kim Kardashian has called for prayers for Beirut, where a powerful explosion on August 4 claimed 135 lives. Kim shared the hashtag #PrayForBeirut on Twitter.

It is reported that over 5,000 people were injured in the explosion, and nearly 300,000 have been left homeless.
