Major Traffic Accident in Armavir Province: Passenger Bus and Toyota Collide with 40 Passengers Aboard

Today, on August 5, a major traffic accident occurred in Armavir Province. Around 5:10 PM, a collision took place on the 42nd kilometer of the Yerevan-Armavir highway between a KVZ passenger bus and a Toyota vehicle.

According to shamshyan.com from the scene, preliminary information indicates that, fortunately, there are no casualties from the accident; however, the Toyota was overturned as a result of the collision.

The source reports that the driver of the KVZ bus, which was transporting approximately 40 employees of a nuclear power plant along with the driver, caused the accident. The driver exited the opposite traffic lane, attempted to make a turn from a prohibited area, and created an emergency situation for the driver of the Toyota, leading to the accident.

It is a fortunate coincidence that the bus did not overturn. Had the driver of the KVZ bus not violated traffic rules by attempting to make a turn in a prohibited area, the accident would not have occurred.

The accident also damaged the "HouseNet" internet connection along that segment, but employees from the mentioned company promptly arrived and are working to restore the connection in a short period of time.
