Never Despair in Difficult Situations: Nune Sargsyan
«Zangak» publishing house has initiated a series of webinars featuring Nune Sargsyan, the wife of the President, during which she engages in direct conversations with children about her children's literary works. This was reported by the Public Relations Department of the Office of the President of the Republic of Armenia.
As part of these discussions, Mrs. Nune Sargsyan has talked with children about her book "Magical Buttons." During the discussion, she also answered questions from readers aged 5 to 10 years.
"Magical Buttons" is the second edition of the book "Sadap: A Fairy Tale That Really Came True," published in Yerevan in 2005. The story is about a ten-year-old girl, Sadap Darzi, who wants to save the world from problems.
Participating children first shared their thoughts on the struggle between good and evil and then narrated episodes from the book. The purpose of the webinar was to encourage children to express their thoughts freely, learn to reason, work in teams, and differentiate between good and evil according to their age perceptions.
Answering the children's questions, Mrs. Nune Sargsyan emphasized the importance of having good friends, being kind and caring towards people, and striving to help them. She also informed that the book will have a sequel and that her other work titled "Ant Eaters" will be published in the coming days.
Mrs. Sargsyan was extremely impressed by both the children's reactions and the likeness of the characters in her book to the works they had created, such as dolls and buttons made of plasticine and drawings.
Noting that the incidents described in the book seem to coincide with today's pandemic, Mrs. Sargsyan urged children to be more attentive and cautious and to adhere to hygiene rules.
Responding to a question regarding the Clean City described in her book, she specifically stated: "I dream of the day when our Yerevan will be as clean as Clean City. Let’s keep our homes, our entrances, our yards, and our streets clean."
Expecting that such meetings will continue, Mrs. Nune Sargsyan wished the children a joyful and healthy summer and urged them to read many books.
"Never despair in difficult situations, because you are strong and smart Armenian children," said Nune Sargsyan.
