We are fighting against illegal construction literally day and night, as the favorite working hours for builders are from Saturday morning to Sunday evening, since it is a non-working time. This was stated by Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan during a press conference held earlier today. “And the favorite time is Saturday and Sunday nights: most violations occur during those nights. Workers are often asked to provide services near illegally constructed sites on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as at night. You wouldn’t believe it: 15-20 people arrive with tools and materials. It could be made into a film. They come and gather. These people are champions of construction. If there were a competition for nighttime construction, we would take top places in the world!”
