Armed Man Demands Money at Haypost Branch

On the morning of August 4, a robbery occurred in the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district. According to investigative data, a man armed with a gun entered the Haypost branch on Raffi Street and demanded money.

Those inside raised an alarm and called for help. Community police officers from Malatia and officers from the Zvartnots airport line unit quickly responded to the citizens' calls for assistance. They disarmed the man on-site and took him into custody at the Malatia police station.

The identity of the suspect was established: he is a 33-year-old resident of Yerevan. He has been presented to the territorial investigative body.

A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident. The gun has been confiscated, and examinations have been ordered. Investigations are ongoing to clarify the circumstances.
