Russian Azerbaijanis Threatened Against Attacking Armenians, Says German Ananyants

Some Azerbaijanis in Russia claim they have received threats against attacking Armenians. This was stated by German Ananyants, Deputy Chairman of the Union of Armenians of Russia, during an interview with NEWS.am.

According to him, Azerbaijanis in Russia have received such threats from the Azerbaijani leadership. “This indicates the organized nature of the attacks against Armenians. There is no information regarding new attacks against Armenians, anti-Armenian actions, or hindrances to business and trade. However, it is evident that we are constantly being drawn into some processes. Therefore, we urge our compatriots not to fall for provocations and to refrain from any acts of violence,” he stated.

It should be noted that after the military escalation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in July, clashes occurred between Armenians and Azerbaijanis in various countries, including Russia.
