Edmon Marukyan Writes to Deputy Prime Minister Mhher Grigoryan
The leader of the "Enlightened Armenia" faction in the National Assembly, Edmon Marukyan, announced on his Facebook page that he has formally written to the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, Mhher Grigoryan.
“We are receiving reports and videos from the Russian Federation indicating that serious issues are being created by road police officers for owners of vehicles with Armenian license plates. In particular, they are being fined, and even vehicles are being towed from building yards as well as streets to impound yards if the person does not possess some sort of temporary permit. This specifically relates to customs documents associated with temporary importation,” Marukyan wrote.
Furthermore, he noted that no one had been informed in advance about the requirement for such a document, and secondly, these actions fundamentally contradict the agreements reached within the framework of the EAEU and are inherently against the very idea of the EAEU. The actions being taken against vehicles with Armenian license plates also grossly violate Russian domestic legislation, he added.
In this regard, I have contacted Deputy Prime Minister Mhher Grigoryan. You can familiarize yourself with other details of the letter in the attached image. Once a response is received, it will also be published on my official page,” Marukyan wrote.
