Aliyev, Keep Your Hands Off the Church: Alexander Lapshin

Azerbaijanis are planning to hold a rally near the Armenian church in Tel Aviv-Jaffa.

Prominent blogger Alexander Lapshin made a post on his Facebook page indicating that Azerbaijanis intend to organize a rally near the Armenian church in Tel Aviv-Jaffa. He urged religious figures to condemn the choice of location for the rally.

In a post titled "Aliyev, Keep Your Hands Off the Church," Lapshin recommended that the Armenian community in Israel contact the police to request a ban on the rally in front of the Armenian church to avoid incidents of violence stemming from religious intolerance. He also advised the Armenian community in Israel to be morally prepared for potential acts of vandalism against the church.

"When a location for the demonstration is chosen not in the city center or a public square but directly in front of an Armenian church, this is a direct path to provocation. It turns out that many Muslim Azerbaijanis will gather near the Armenian temple for the rally, which will prompt Christians to come out in defense of it," noted Lapshin.
