Yerevan Municipality Clarifies Recent Tree Cutting in Mashtots Park

The Yerevan Municipality has issued a statement regarding the tree cutting in Mashtots Park. The "Greening and Environmental Protection" Municipal Non-Commercial Organization specifically reports:

“The owner of the café being renovated at the beginning of Mashtots Park has undertaken the obligation to plant 9 eastern cypress trees instead of the 4 linden trees that were cut down. The cut linden trees were assessed by specialists as unhealthy and non-viable. Furthermore, the businessman is obliged to regularly improve and green the area adjacent to the park. Some of the work has already been completed, and the rest will be done after the construction work is finished. The planting will take place in November, under the strict supervision of our specialists.”
