Serious Issues Arise for Owners of Armenian-Plated Cars in Russia, Says Marukyan
Reports and videos coming from the Russian Federation indicate that owners of cars with Armenian license plates are facing serious issues caused by traffic police officers. Specifically, they are being fined and their vehicles are being towed from parking lots and streets if the owner does not possess a specific temporary permit.
This temporary permit appears to be related to customs documents for temporary importation. Edmon Marukyan, the head of the 'Enlightened Armenia' faction, commented on this issue on his Facebook page, stating: 'Moreover, no one has been informed in advance about the requirement for such a document, and such actions fundamentally contradict the agreements reached within the EAEU framework and the very idea of the EAEU. The actions carried out against cars with Armenian license plates grossly violate Russian domestic legislation as well.'
In this regard, I have addressed Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan. Further details about the communication can be found in the attached image. Once a response is received, it will also be published on my official page,' Marukyan wrote.
