Lori Governor is the Last Official Who Can Accuse Me: Mamikon Aslanyan

Yesterday, Lori Governor Andrey Ghukasyan accused Vanadzor Mayor Mamikon Aslanyan of lack of principles and ineffectiveness. In an interview with ArmDaily.am, Mayor Aslanyan responded, "The Lori Governor is the last official who can accuse me. The Lori Governor should fulfill his functions, and we have always carried out our duties without his assistance. When we feel the need for his help, we will call him, and he can come and help us. For now, he should remain in his position and act as a caring governor.

He should step away from the syndrome of slandering and giving undue importance to himself, because I can also praise myself or present myself as a hero, but it is necessary to engage in action. It is better that he does not attribute some heroism to his empty actions, as we were the ones who started the dismantling of that pavilion, informing people that it needed to be removed in order to avoid conflict.

The Vanadzor Municipality is not my or the governor's ancestral house; it is a public building, owned by the citizens of Vanadzor, and no one — be it the governor, the mayor, or anyone else — has the right to behave this way. I now think that his behavior may also have legal consequences."
