Video: It’s Not That We Are Not Expecting an Order, Davit Tonoyan
On July 30-31, Armenian Minister of Defense Davit Tonoyan was on a working visit to Artsakh as part of the program for cooperation and coordination of actions between the military departments of the two Armenian republics.
Accompanied by the Minister of Defense of Artsakh and the commander of the Defense Army, Major General Jalal Harutyunyan, he visited several military units and subunits operating under the central command of the Defense Army, where he got acquainted with the social and living conditions as well as the challenges related to service that need to be addressed.
Minister Tonoyan paid special attention to the newly introduced weapons and modernized technical means in the Defense Army, as well as the ongoing works.
The heads of the military departments of the two Armenian republics visited various military and rear facilities deployed in the eastern direction of the Defense Army, where current regional developments and possible future scenarios were discussed, along with the challenges facing both Armenian states and the systemic actions that lie ahead for the defense departments.
In response to a journalist's question, Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan referred to the harsh rhetoric of the Azerbaijani political and military leadership, particularly the statement of the President of Azerbaijan: "As long as it’s not too late, free our territories," noting that it is unclear to the Armenian side when that 'too late' might be.
