VIDEO: 165 Hectares of Forest Burned in France Overnight

A major fire broke out in the town of Anglès, located in the southwestern part of France, resulting in the destruction of 165 hectares of pine forest.

According to francetvinfo.fr, the fire ignited in Anglès' forest during the night of July 31, engulfing the area in flames. The report notes that drought conditions and strong gusts of wind in the region contributed to the spread of the fire; however, thanks to the quick response of 150 firefighters, the blaze has now been brought under control.

Currently, the police are conducting an investigation, and it is not ruled out that the massive fire could have been caused by arson.
