I learned from the press that Ervand Khundkaryan is the candidate for the Constitutional Court judge. This was stated today, July 31, during a conversation with reporters ahead of the General Assembly of Judges by Court of Appeals judge Mkhitar Papoyan. This was reported by News.am.

"It is a secret ballot, and I do not wish to express my opinion until then, as it would also signify campaigning," he said.

It should be noted that the regular general assembly of the judges of the Republic of Armenia is taking place at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex. The assembly was supposed to take place on March 13 but was postponed due to the pandemic.

The agenda of the general assembly is quite packed; judges will elect candidates for the post of Constitutional Court judge, a member of the Supreme Judicial Council, as well as non-judicial members of the Evaluation and Educational Affairs Committees.
