Bomb Disposal Teams Clear 550,000 sq. m Area Contaminated with Cluster Munitions in Kornidzor

The deminers of the "Humanitarian Demining and Expertise Center" have started operations in July to clear an area of 550,000 square meters contaminated with cluster munitions in the village of Kornidzor, located in the Syunik province's Tegh community.

The work in Kornidzor is being carried out by the "Foundation for Demining and Utilization." In July, Armenian deminers managed to clear 3,850 square meters of mined territory. They also discovered an unexploded BMP-1 73mm caliber shell.
