My Step Supporters Dissatisfied with Constitutional Court Judge Candidate Vahram Avetisyan: 'Haykakan Jamanak'

According to information from the newspaper 'Haykakan Jamanak', the recent sitting of the 'My Step' faction in the National Assembly was sparsely attended. It is known that the guest of the ruling faction was the Secretary of the Security Council, Armen Grigoryan, who presented the security strategy and the changes that need to be made. According to our sources, the discussion on this topic was brief, and the ruling party members did not ask many questions of Grigoryan. Only a few questions were raised regarding our relations with different countries and situations of tension, to which Armen Grigoryan provided short answers.

Subsequently, during the meeting, members of 'My Step' shifted to the issue of the nomination of Vahram Avetisyan as a candidate for the Constitutional Court judge, which, by the way, is scheduled to be discussed in a closed meeting with the 'My Step' faction in the coming days. A group of parliamentarians declared that everything must be done to prevent Avetisyan from reaching the parliamentary podium. According to our information, the 'My Step' faction is dissatisfied with Avetisyan, with particular dissatisfaction voiced by members of the 'Armenian National Congress' faction, who believe that Avetisyan should voluntarily resign and not come to the parliament.

According to the same sources, within the 'My Step' ranks, with the exception of a few individuals, there are 'machete' people waiting for the meeting with Avetisyan, so they can ensure that he asserts he does not wish to be the candidate for judge of the Constitutional Court.
