The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia, Zaruhi Batoyan, made the following post on her Facebook page:

“The legislative initiative by Sisak Gabrielyan and Sipan Pashinyan proposes the following support for border residents as a result of discussions with the government: In the next three years, the state will partially cover the consumption costs of border residents for:

  • -50% on electricity
  • -50% on natural gas
  • -50% on irrigation water

The state will fully cover:

  • 100% of the land tax for border residents
  • 100% of the property tax

Additionally, border students will be provided with textbooks at a 50% discount or free of charge.

Houses damaged by Azerbaijani attacks will be restored free of charge, according to law (work has already begun).

100% compensation will be provided for farm animals and/or livestock that are killed.

In the unfortunate event of acquiring a disability due to injury, a one-time payment of 1-3 million drams will be given along with free medical assistance and 5 million drams for the family of the deceased.”
