Martyun Will Not Appoint Anyone Else Instead of Haik Sargsyan. The Reason is Known.

According to the newspaper "Zhoghovurd", "Yerevan Mayor Haik Martyun will not appoint anyone else to the position of Vice Mayor instead of the former Vice Mayor Haik Sargsyan. It should be noted that by the order of Yerevan Mayor Haik Martyun, Haik Sargsyan was dismissed from his position on July 15.

Although it has been just 12 days since one of the vice mayor positions has been vacant, information suggests that the decision was made not to appoint a new vice mayor but rather to divide the responsibilities of the former vice mayor between current vice mayors Hratchya Sargsyan and Sergey Harutyunyan.

Haik Sargsyan was responsible for the financial issues of the municipality, and now it has been decided that, for example, Sergey Harutyunyan will handle property tax issues, while Hratchya Sargsyan will take care of other matters.

According to our information, one of the reasons behind this decision is that Haik Sargsyan is actually a skilled personnel, and it is no secret that there is a personnel shortage in the municipality, with many departments lacking leadership.

It is also worth mentioning that Haik Sargsyan had applied to Yerevan Mayor Haik Martyun on February 15, expressing his desire to transfer to a different position. However, taking into account the anticipated financial issues due to the coronavirus situation, the decision was made to postpone the discussion of his application.
