German Scientists' Alarming Conclusions Regarding COVID-19
German scientists have reached concerning conclusions regarding the effects of COVID-19 on heart health. They studied the condition of the hearts of individuals who had been infected with and recovered from the virus and discovered that changes in heart muscle occurred in 76% of cases. Among those who overcame the disease, 76 out of 100 presented with heart muscle damage typically associated with heart attacks.
According to the Daily Mail, another study revealed that among those who died from complications of COVID-19, every second individual had a considerably high concentration of the virus in their heart muscle.
It remains unclear how long it will take for the damage to the heart to recover or whether it will increase the likelihood of heart attacks in those who have survived the illness.
