Armenian Armed Forces Chief of Staff Meets with US Ambassador

On July 28, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Onik Gasparyan, received the U.S. Ambassador to Armenia, Lyn Tracy, and the defense attaché of the embassy, Colonel Scott Maxwell.

During the meeting, they discussed issues related to Armenian-American bilateral cooperation in the defense sector and the events that have taken place. They also addressed the increase in tension noted at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border since July 12, as well as the current situation in the border zone.

Additionally, the parties reviewed future cooperation plans and outlined other matters of mutual interest.
