Appointment of Acting Head of Arinj Community
Today, I introduced the new acting head of the Arinj community, Hayk Mkrtchyan, to the staff of the Arinj community administration, members of the council, and employees of community-based organizations. This was reported by Kotayk Province Governor Romanos Petrosyan on his Facebook page.
“Let me remind you that the head of the Arinj community, Gagik Sargsyan, who has been leading the community since 2002, submitted a resignation request to the community council of Kotayk Province. Based on point 14 of part 1 of Article 18 and point 1 of part 1 of Article 26 of the Law on Local Self-Government, as well as considering Gagik Sargsyan's application, the Arinj community council decided on July 20, 2020, to prematurely terminate the powers of the head of the Arinj community, Gagik Sargsyan, and legally applied to me.
While presenting the new acting head, Hayk Mkrtchyan, I expressed my full support for him. Guaranteeing the rule of law and legal supremacy in the Arinj community is a primary imperative, and I am confident that the acting head of the community shares this approach. In a very short time, the residents of Arinj will feel this change in their lives and areas of activity.
There are numerous issues in the Arinj community, ranging from illegal land seizures to the renovation of water lines and streets. However, with a commitment to adhere to the law and bring positive changes to the lives of citizens, we will progressively address the issues that significantly impact the quality of life. Wishing for a successful journey ahead.”
