32 Residents Being Treated for Coronavirus at Gyumri Infectious Diseases Hospital

As of 11:30 AM on July 28, 32 residents of the Shirak region are being treated for coronavirus at the Gyumri Infectious Diseases Hospital. This information was reported by the Shirak regional administration.

“Since March 1, a total of 7,287 samples have been taken in healthcare facilities in Shirak and the regional center of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention. From May 12 to July 27, 5,933 tests were conducted in Gyumri alone. On July 27, 17 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed,” the announcement on the regional administration's page states.

Currently, 786 citizens in the region are under home self-isolation, of which 242 have a positive diagnosis with asymptomatic cases, monitored by primary healthcare.” The statement also indicated that 452 residents of Shirak region have recovered and been discharged from the Gyumri Infectious Diseases Hospital. Additionally, 49 patients have been transferred to the capital, and 35 deaths have been recorded.
