When Will Air Passenger Transportation to Russia and Other CIS Countries Resume? Edmond Marukyan Details
Numerous citizens are asking when at least semi-regular air passenger transportation to Russia and other CIS countries will resume. This was noted by Edmond Marukyan, the head of the "Enlightened Armenia" faction of the National Assembly of Armenia, on his Facebook page. He added, "I must inform you that air passenger transport can only be reopened after the country is no longer under a state of emergency. In other words, the first step towards reopening borders is not to extend the state of emergency. As you know, 'Enlightened Armenia' has been demanding since the first one-month state of emergency that it should not be extended and that restrictions should be applied under different legal frameworks. At this moment, it is necessary to maintain social distancing, regularly disinfect hands, and in our opinion, the mandatory mask-wearing requirement should only be in open areas. We can maintain these restrictions without the state of emergency and remove the country from the list of those where the state of emergency has been declared, along with all its negative consequences. We continue to insist that there is no need to extend the state of emergency."
