VIDEO: Exclusive Footage of Hayk Sargsyan's Party on the Shores of Lake Sevan at Various Times of the Day
The gathering held at the "White Shorja" resort on the shores of Lake Sevan, attended by Hayk Sargsyan, a member of the ruling My Step parliamentary faction, has been a subject of discussion since yesterday. Numerous photos and videos have circulated showing participants at the gathering failing to adhere to anti-epidemic regulations, ignoring social distancing, not wearing masks, and using hookahs. It was noted that the organizer of the "party" is the parliament member himself.
This morning, Lilit Makunts, the head of the My Step faction, mentioned during a press conference that she spoke with Hayk Sargsyan. The deputy assured her that he had not organized any event and was merely staying at the resort where other citizens are also relaxing. According to him, there was only a "short moment" at the gathering.
Makunts also denied any information linking Hayk Sargsyan to the organization of the event and the resort.
AntiFake.am has obtained exclusive footage from the beach of "White Shorja" showing various times of Hayk Sargsyan's party. The recordings were made before nightfall, during twilight, and late at night, which again confirm that the two officials lied to the public, hastily denying Hayk Sargsyan's unlawful behavior and privileged status.
Furthermore, despite Lilit Makunts's denial regarding Hayk Sargsyan's connection to the beach and the event's organization, the footage we possess and the information we have suggests the exact opposite. The video shows how the deputy engages in organizational discussions with various individuals.
It raises questions about how a large event, grossly violating anti-epidemic rules and planned at least 10 days prior, managed to slip past the eyes of the police enforcing tightened raids in Sevan all day yesterday.
Assistance in this inquiry comes from Gohar Sujyan, who performed at the beach concert. In an interview with ArmDaily.am, he stated that it was presented to him that "everything had been clarified and coordinated with the crisis center." He mentioned, "For a month, the concert has been advertised, and I was confident that everything would be within legal boundaries, which is why it was not strange but rather surprising, as I had not been in such an environment for a long time."
From all this, one can infer that the crisis center may have provided certain guarantees for the smooth running of the event involving the ruling party's deputy. Additionally, it appears that there are privileged individuals within the power structure who, disregarding the recommendations of the crisis center and personally Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's appeals, organize large parties and remain unpunished. One such privileged individual is Hayk Sargsyan, the son of Pashinyan's friend who has become a deputy. Meanwhile, the head of the ruling parliamentary force rushes to justify him in the eyes of the public.
