Some Russian Websites Selling Flights to Armenia: Embassy Issues Warning
Some Russian websites selling flights have started offering tickets for regular flights from various cities in Russia to Armenia starting August 1. However, it is important to note that the process of resuming regular air transportation between the two countries has not yet been completed, and timelines for the resumption of flights are still under discussion.
This was reported by the Armenian Embassy in Russia, which continued: "In light of this, we advise citizens wishing to travel to Armenia to base their purchase of tickets solely on official information regarding the restoration of flights to avoid various issues. We will inform you as soon as we receive information clarifying the timelines for the resumption of regular flights. At the same time, we emphasize that non-charter flights will still continue in the near future. Their schedule is continuously published on our social media pages."
We remind you that throughout the entire period of the state of emergency in the Republic of Armenia, restrictions remain on entry for individuals who are not citizens of the Republic of Armenia or family members of citizens, as well as for those who do not have the right to legally reside in the territory of Armenia. Furthermore, we note that citizens cannot yet use land routes to return from Russia to Armenia. The Upper Lars checkpoint remains open solely for freight transportation.
