Russia's Army Starts Large-Scale Exercises in the Caucasus

The Russian armed forces are beginning exercises at both foothills of the Caucasus mountain range. Units from not only Russia but also from military bases in Abkhazia and South Ossetia will be involved. This was reported by 'RIA Novosti'.

The drills will include ground troops, air forces, and air defense units, as well as artillery, tanks, and other military equipment.

Through these exercises, the Russian army is preparing for the large-scale 'Caucasus-2020' maneuvers.
