Mayor Dismisses Two School Principals

The Mayor of Yerevan, Hayk Marutyan, signed a decision on July 21, according to which, effective July 22, Haik Felix Bakhchinyan, the principal of Yerevan's Nerses the Great Secondary School No. 124, has been dismissed from his position.

The responsibilities of the principal will temporarily be taken over by Armine Atabekyan, the deputy director in charge of educational activities, until a winner is determined through the established competitive process.

In another decision signed by the Mayor on July 21, the dismissed Haik Bakhchinyan has been appointed as the acting principal of Yerevan Secondary School No. 180 until a winner is determined through the established competitive process.

By the same decision, Amalya Matosyan has been relieved of her duties as the temporary acting principal of Yerevan Secondary School No. 180 effective July 22.
