I Am on Vacation and Was at the Mentioned Beach Yesterday Evening: MP Comments on Attending Event at 'White Shorja' Beach Without a Mask
MP Hay Sargsyan from the 'My Step' faction of the National Assembly wrote on his Facebook page: 'For a long time, certain political forces and the media serving their interests have been trying to catch a moment where any representative of the authorities would appear without a mask. After months of observation, yesterday I was captured at one of the beaches of Sevan without a mask, and to portray it in an even worse light, it was suggested that I organized this event, violating anti-epidemic rules. I am currently on vacation, and indeed, last night I was at that beach, and there was a moment when I was not wearing a mask. I want to apologize to our beloved compatriots for being present at that event and not wearing a mask during it. It is known that I have repeatedly urged people to wear masks, although I inadvertently did not wear one for a moment yesterday.'
'Regarding the rumors that suggest the beach resort belongs to me, or that I organized the event, these claims do not correspond to reality. Representatives of the police drafted a protocol today, and I, along with other citizens who participated last night, were fined for not wearing masks. I also apologize to the Commandant's Office and our political team for inadvertently giving rise to such a large and unnecessary uproar.'
It is noteworthy that videos have surfaced online showing Hayk Sargsyan attending a party at the 'White Shorja' beach in Sevan. Remarkably, no attendees, including the MP, were wearing masks.
