High Compliance Rates in Yerevan, Issues Persist in Regions: NSSC
The new working week has seen the inspectors of the National Service for Food Safety of Armenia (NSSC) starting with repeated visits and large-scale observations in Yerevan and regional structures.
The organizations in the food chain within Yerevan's Nor Nork administrative district have come under the spotlight of intensified inspections. In this community of the capital, the decisions of the Armenian Prime Minister have been observed with utmost responsibility. No violations have been detected in the stores, food service establishments, and food production facilities that have been monitored by NSSC inspectors.
However, regional inspectors of the NSSC have recorded shortcomings and serious violations. These issues relate to the sanitary-hygienic norms established for the prevention of coronavirus, the disregard for the prohibition of organizing and holding gatherings, and the failure to maintain social distance between individuals.
The findings will be presented to the government, which will be followed by sanctions in the form of suspensions and administrative fines. The NSSC will continue its consistent oversight of all organizations in the food chain across the republic related to COVID-19.
