440 Villages Empty in Iraqi Kurdistan Due to Turkish Bombardments
As a result of cross-border military operations conducted by Turkey against Iraqi Kurdistan, numerous villages in the region have been vacated. According to Kurdistan Parliament member Mem Burhan Kani, 440 border villages have seen their inhabitants evacuate due to Turkish bombardments.
Mem Burhan Kani has issued a written statement regarding Turkey's actions, noting that three committees of the Kurdistan Parliament have prepared a joint report on the subject, which will be discussed in Parliament on July 27.
The report indicates that a significant number of civilians have lost their lives in the villages subjected to attacks by Turkey.
