Mehriban Aliyeva Also Takes Action, Expert Says

Military expert and Turkologist Karen Hovhannisyan stated on his Facebook page: “Azerbaijan is taking steps, one by one, related to these events exactly as I had predicted. Protests, provocations in the form of insults to incite clashes, and now official Baku is taking action. In addition to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Azerbaijan’s First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva is also taking action. While the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reached out to other countries’ foreign ministries, Mehriban Aliyeva has contacted international human rights organizations, asking them to pay attention to the ongoing events.

I am confident that a new wave of 'human rights defenders' will emerge in Armenia, who are funded indirectly, even through third parties, by Azerbaijani and Turkish financial resources. During this time, I will be making some very interesting revelations, at least for my own sake.”
