Criminals Will Be Strictly Punished: Major General of Russia's FSB During Meeting with Armenian Community

Individuals involved in the crimes that occurred in Moscow last night will be strictly punished, said Major General Andrey Yatsenko, Deputy Head of the FSB Directorate for Moscow and the Moscow Region, during a meeting with representatives of the Armenian community, as reported by the press service of the Union of Armenians of Russia.

“All individuals connected with these crimes will be strictly punished. No one will escape responsibility,” Yatsenko stated, noting that this is a high-profile case and is under the supervision of the country's leadership.

For his part, Police Chief Major General Igor Zinovyev and the head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Moscow Region, Vyacheslav Churkan, urged that every community member be informed that criminals will be punished under the criminal code.

The authorities are taking the strictest measures to prevent any manifestations of extremism, including the possibility of revoking citizenship and expelling individuals from Russia.

“Dear compatriots, we once again urge everyone to remain vigilant, to show us—Armenians—special restraint and prudence, and not to succumb to provocative actions,” the statement says.

In extraordinary situations, contact the hotlines of the Union of Armenians of Russia (89253045971) or law enforcement authorities immediately.
